Privacy Policy for Invent Medic Sweden AB per 01.01.2021

This policy is originally drafted in Swedish. If there is a conflict between a translated version and the Swedish version of these terms then, to the extent permitted under applicable law, the Swedish version shall prevail.

When you entrust Invent Medic Sweden AB (IMSAB) with your personal information, it is important for us to make sure you feel confident that we will protect your personal privacy. Your personal information is treated with maximum respect and in accordance with applicable legislation. This policy describes how we collect and process your personal information when you visit our websites and use the services offered there.

All personal data processing is in accordance with the Data Protection Ordinance, GDPR. The data controller responsible for personal data is Invent Medic Sweden AB (organisation number 556682-1046).

When you place your order, you consent to us saving and using your information to complete and provide the service you expect from us.

What is personal data?
Personal data is information relating to an “identified” person or an “identifiable natural person”. Examples of personal information are name, an identification number, address, e-mail address and telephone number. It may also apply to customer numbers, encrypted data and various types of electronic identities such as IP numbers.

What personal data do we collect and why?

Information you provide when you become a customer at Invent Medic Sweden AB
When you become a customer at IMSAB, we collect your contact details: name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and, if applicable, national identification number. We also collect information about any delivery venue and IP address. The purchase agreement we have with you constitutes the legal basis for processing your personal information and is required to fulfill our legal obligations, as well as, fulfill our agreement with you, such as delivery and payment.

Data collected through personal contact
When you contact customer service via e-mail, phone or chat, for example, we collect the personal information you provide. We do this to answer the questions you have and to handle your case. This can for example be information regarding your name, e-mail address and order number. We also collect information that you choose to provide to us regarding your health status or medication. If your enquiry concerns a complaint, we will use your information in order to comply with our obligations under current consumer laws, the legal basis of which is our purchase agreement with you.

How we use your personal data

Fulfill an order or contract
We use your information to identify you as a customer, process and deliver your order as well as process billing and payment. We also use your personal information in order to assist you if you contact us with questions, comments or, for example, a complaint.

Information about products and services
If you have provided your express consent to receiving news and updates on our products and services, we may use your personal information for e-mail with information about our products and services. You may at any time withdraw your consent to receiving newsletters, promotions, and offers by contacting customer service or using the unsubscribe link contained in each newsletter.

We will never disclose your information to unauthorised parties or sell it to a third party.

Who do we share personal data with?

Payment Solutions

For payment, handling invoices and payments, we share information with Ecster Pay that collects personal information about you in connection with payment. Ecster Pay is thus the data controller of this information under their terms and conditions (see Ecster’s Terms.)

DHL
We use DHL to execute deliveries and share with them the personal data required to complete and deliver your order.

Cookies / Google / Facebook
We share analytics data through third-party cookies for marketing and web analytics to improve our services. We do not register any information about visitors’ IP addresses, so your information can never be linked to your identity.

We use Google Analytics to improve content, navigation, and structure on the website. The analysis tool uses JavaScript and cookies and the information about your use is anonymous.

Direct Marketing/Newsletter
In order to send information to you our Newsletter and inform you about our products and services, we use Mailchimp, where we store your email address. You can cancel your subscription at any time, either through the link in the newsletter or by contacting our customer service.

Authorities
Upon request, we may, according to law and decision by authorities, be required to provide certain personal information, for example to the police in connection with a criminal investigation. We may also, for the same reason, provide information to the Swedish eHealth Agency, Swedish Medical Products Agency, National Board of Health and Welfare and the Health and Social Care Inspectorate.

Other
We may transfer your personal information to recipients other than those mentioned above if deemed necessary for our business. Personal data is securely processed to protect confidentiality.

We may also share information with potential buyers if we were sell all or part of the business or in the case of a merger.

How long do we store your personal data?
We store personal data as long as there are legal grounds, a documented purpose for processing it or an ongoing user relationship. We normally will store your customer information for up to three years from the date of your last customer contact. However, we store data required by the Accounting Act for up to eight years.

How we protect your personal data
We have taken appropriate security measures to protect your personal data from loss, abuse and unauthorised access. The number of people who have access to your personal information is limited. Only persons at IMSAB who need to process your personal information have access to them.

The suppliers we share personal data with will only process them on our behalf and do so in accordance with our instructions. We use industry standards to safely store, process and communicate sensitive information, for example. SSL / TLS, PGP, and one-way hash algorithms.

You control your personal data
You are entitled to know what information Medic Sweden AB holds about you and request that these be deleted. In order to access the information or delete your information, your application must be in writing, include your national identification number and be signed by you.

Submit your application to Invent Medic Sweden AB, Scheelevägen 2, 223 81 Lund.

The data or confirmation of deletion is sent without delay to your nationally registered postal address.

You can always use the unsubscribe link found in all the promotions, offers, and newsletters we send to you.

If your information is incomplete, incorrect or irrelevant, you are entitled to request that they be corrected or deleted. You also have the right to seek damages if the processing of your personal data has not been complied with.

Information that can not be deleted includes data that is required according to the Accounting Act and data required for Invent Medic Sweden AB to fulfill its obligations, for example, in processing complaints.

It is important for us to make sure you feel your personal data is safe. We strive to look after your personal integrity and to treat your data with the utmost respect.

However, should you think we are processing your personal data in an incorrect manner, please feel free to contact us. You may also file a complaint with the Swedish Data Protection Authority, which supervises the processing of personal data.

IMSAB reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time, to the extent that they are necessary to correct interference or meet new legal and technical requirements. All changes to this privacy policy will be published on the website.
